It has been another successful season at Millican, with another record for points in a season (1600), and with 5 different riders scoring a result. It's been a bit of a transitional year, as while Nate Thurston still led the team in points with 410, several of our younger riders are stepping up into captain roles and will be leading the team in season 58. Darius Winn will be captaining the FR races with low SP and moving into the All-3 captain role, while Diogo Zito, our blind training competition success story, will be looking to win the sprints and hopefully compete for some jerseys. There will be some opportunities for Thurston in the downhill/all-3 races as well.
Review of S57 goals:
Finish training Bolque, Zito, and Pfeiffer -> complete, and hits on 2/3!
Win the FR race competition -> Not so good, some bad luck with off days and Macagno's TF only managed a single result...
Use Thurston on TF to pick up 2 wins -> Didn't use Thurston's TF, will use this season. Still picked up a win!
TT Centre LO1s -> Hmm, this wasn't a good use of money, and was skipped in favour of importing more sprint talent.
Goals for S58:
-Train Stagg, our first ever signing from the talent feature! He is an incredible CL talent and could be an outstanding hill climb captain with a high max.
-Use Thurston's TF, pick up 3 wins to move him to 30 career wins.
-Place top 3 in the team competition in the FR race competition.
-Take Zito to Porto and Nederlandse and be in the hunt for some sprint jerseys.
-Add another LOSP from the transfer list.

I’m still amazed I got Zito, somehow our notorious scouting teams failed to sign him despite their little racket (David told me he scouted Zito, no idea why he wasn’t signed…)
Diogo Zito should perfom very well in div2 and send you in div 1 pretty soon ! (nice start this morning)
